Buggy Boop’s Birthday
~ by neverwriteitdown on August 16, 2007.
In our family, there is one person from whom you can always count on a smile and a kind word. If she doesn’t feel well or if a rabid dog is chewing on her leg, she always smiles. Even if she’s mad at you, she’s somehow nice about it. Trying to get her to bash others is a job. I do my best, but she’s always looking on the bright side.
Audrey is the first card you get for your birthday or for Christmas and she remembers everyone. She’s a fun cousin and a thoughtful friend. Wishing her all the best on her birthday. Big ass grab from me! Love you Audrey.

Interestingly, Audrey’s Hero of Naughty has the same birthday. Today is also Mae Day.

Michael’s Birthday in History
~ by neverwriteitdown on August 15, 2007.
August 15th has seen much excitement through the years.
- in 1057 Malcolm slays Macbeth (too far back?)
- in 1914, the Panama Canal opened
- in 1945 World War II ended with Hirohito’s unconditional surrender. (the famous photo of the sailor kissing the nurse from Life Magazine was taken on August 15th)

- in 1947, India and Pakistan won independance from Great Britain’s Mogul Empire
- in 1961 on this day, the concrete of the Berlin Wall began replacing the barbed wire fencing cutting Berlin in two
- in 1939, Will Rogers was killed in a plane crash
- in 1969, Woodstock began
- in 1939, The Wizard of Oz premiers
- in 1993, Michael was extracted from a gaping hole in his mothers belly. The scar from this event will be used against him in the future if he doesn’t call enough
- Birthdays: Ben Affleck, Rose Marie, Napoleon Bonaparte, Deborah Messing and Julia Child
TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Aug. 15). You have a steely resolve this year to make one powerful change. By January you’re halfway there. Don’t run out of steam. Strengthen your powers of visualization. With the help of meditation and a few key decisions in February, you can achieve your aim in Spring 2008. Gemini and Sagittarius people are winning supporters. Your lucky numbers are: 1, 33, 49, 36 and 21.

Happy Birthday Sis!
The year is 1970. I’m still reeling from the new sister I got in 1969 and POW! Here comes another. Why did my parents hate me so much? I was an only child for almost 8 years and I guess they decided they needed some variety. It was now 3 against 2 in our house and we knew that in a few short years, the maxi pads would be flying everywhere.
My nephew Chaz and I share a bond of having a younger sister. We know how it is. Of course, I have two so I win every time. And, oddly his sister is very much like my sister Jackie was at her age, so I know just what he goes through.
But, I tell him… sisters grow up to be good friends someday. The only other people in your life that really know you. I don’t tell him that they continue to irritate the Hell out of you until you die. That just wouldn’t be right to tell a kid. I love my sister (both actually) very much, but I can’t help but wonder how being a 45 year old only child would be. If I get a far away look in my eye, you know that’s what I’m thinking about. But then I think that if there were no sisters, who would I make fun of to my parents? I think I’d not have a niece and nephew. I sure wouldn’t know the names of as many medications and diet plans as I do. And I wouldn’t realize that when a sister says that she’ll rip your eyes out, they actually mean it.

Then (with MaryJane) and Now
So, here I sit, remembering that fateful day in 1970, while the new big hit ‘Tears of a Clown’ played on the radio and Dad said, ‘You have a sister’ for the second time. Happy Birthday Sis.

Update
Went to Jackie’s. Had a nice time. The house was beautiful. On the way home we saw a huge rainbow and of course, I didn’t have my camera… only my cell phone.

Then we went to Wendy’s.
Happy Birthday Charlie!
Charlie Huber’s Birthday June 17th. He spent it, along with Father’s Day at work. Good husband, but he missed the fun. When Jackie tells him the birthday he COULD have had, he’ll be pissed.
Happy Birthday Madeline
